As a classroom hamster, I have experienced many school breaks throughout the year. However, there is something special about summer break that makes it necessary for students, teachers, and even us classroom pets.
Firstly, summer break allows students to take a much-needed break from the daily routine of school. As much as learning and education are important, children also need time to relax, recharge and explore their interests outside of the classroom. This break allows them to do just that. They can spend time with family and friends, travel to new places, or simply have fun in the sun.
Secondly, summer break is essential for teachers as well. After months of lesson planning and teaching, they deserve some time off to unwind and recharge. This break also gives them the opportunity to reflect on their teaching methods and plan for the upcoming school year.
